PwC was named as a large digital experience (DX) agency based on revenue derived from experience design services in China by Forrester in their Now Tech: Experience Design Services in China Q1 2019 overview. The report lists 27 service providers.
The report emphasizes that, “[Firms] can use experience design (XD) to shape customer-centric initiatives and business strategies, blur the boundaries between digital and physical, and attract and engage customers in China.” This can be achieved by selecting the right partner, based on size and capabilities.
Forrester goes on to note, that firms can improve customer experience by employing experience design services. “An experience design service provider helps companies improve customer experiences and business outcomes by applying expert humancentric design (HCD) practices… Each provider in China has a different core focus. Business designers reshape strategies and catalyze design-led organizational change. Convergent designers apply design practices to products, services, and spaces. Specialty designers craft experiences that use emerging technologies.”
