The Japanese SAP service provider market demands unique tailored services
PwC was listed in Gartner Market Guide for SAP Application Service Providers, Japan.
The report states, “Gartner estimates that of all spending for application services in Japan, spending for custom application services has been the majority due to persistent demand for applications that deal with industry-specific or Japan-specific business requirements. However, in the next five years, Japanese users will spend more on services for commercial applications than for custom applications.”
Service providers with domestic headquarters have the largest share of the market, whereas global companies are better equipped to manage a global rollout.
Rodney Seligman, Global SAP Leader and US Technology Consulting leader for Consumer & Industrial Products, said, “When approaching a new project, we always take into account the specific needs and goals of the clients. Our job is to ensure that we are able to understand the client’s market and provide them the means to successfully implement, in the case of SAP, the relevant technology. In developing a strategy, we bring all of our expertise to the table, from market and industry insight to technical know-how across the spectrum.”
