Outsourcing and integration vital to worldwide manufacturing supply chain execution

PwC named  a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Manufacturing Supply Chain Execution Strategy

PwC has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Manufacturing Supply Chain Execution Strategy.  Using the IDC MarketScape Model, IDC examined 14 global services companies that offered a range of services across the spectrum of manufacturing supply chain planning.

The IDC MarketScape advises potential clients to, “Consider PwC when looking for strategy built around the business needs.” The report further notes, “PwC has a problem-first approach that allows the firm to help clients develop a strategy that is not restricted by technology capabilities and then will support the effort to fit the right tech applications to execute the business strategy.”

On being named a leader, Brett Cayot, PwC's Logistics & Distribution Consulting Leader, said, “We are delighted to be recognised in this IDC MarketScape for our worldwide manufacturing supply chain services. We provide a holistic approach to manufacturing supply chain consulting, beginning with a focus on logistics and aligning our digital capabilities to produce a solution that leads to real-world execution. Our ultimate aim is to help our clients innovate in the direction they are heading with a focus on achieving their goals.”

About IDC MarketScape
IDC MarketScape vendor analysis model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT (information and communications technology) suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilises a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor’s position within a given market. IDC MarketScape provides a clear framework in which the product and service offerings, capabilities and strategies, and current and future market success factors of IT and telecommunications vendors can be meaningfully compared. The framework also provides technology buyers with a 360-degree assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of current and prospective vendors.
