PwC named a leader in Health and Wellness Benefits Consulting 2019

ALM Intelligence names PwC as Best In Class for Strategy and Project Management

PwC was announced as a Leader in ‘Health and Wellness Benefits Consulting 2019’ by ALM Intelligence, a company that assesses consulting firms in defined markets on the basis of their breadth and depth of service capabilities and ability to deploy those across highly-complex client requirements.

According to the report, “The evolution of healthcare continues at a rapid pace, and both providers and employers are faced with the challenge of remaining agile in the face of that change. Healthcare payers and providers seek ways to keep their own costs under control to remain competitive in the market while striving to find the next innovation that places their customer experience a step above their competition.”

Commenting on the leader status, ALM states that “PwC continues to hone its capabilities in the health and wellness space within the framework of the New Health Economy, providing strong insights into the interplay between payers, providers, and disruptive elements impacting healthcare delivery models. Coupled with its strong strategy capability and deep benchmarking insights, PwC remains at the top for depth of capability.”

On PwC’s strengths, Matthew Merker, author of the report, says that:  “Encouraging capitalization on disruption within the healthcare market, PwC’s strategy advisory remains particularly strong for health and wellness benefits clients. Assisting clients in embracing change in order to realize strategic goals creates opportunities for meaningful transformation that propels client organizations’ competitiveness in the war for talent. Insights gleaned through in-depth benchmarking and research into the healthcare field keep PwC on the leading edge of innovation for consulting in this space.”

Commenting on PwC’s approach, Merker states, “Continuing to provide health and wellness advisory within the context of the New Health Economy (an intersection of payers, providers, and new entrants to the healthcare market), PwC’s approach is centered on maximizing the impact of disruption in technology, human resources, and operating models to provide greater cost efficiencies for employers and providers while improving services for employees.”

ALM Intelligence names PwC as Best in Class for both Strategy and Project Management.  For Strategy, the report states that “Within the context of the New Health Economy, PwC’s positioning for strategic advisory remains at the forefront within the competitive landscape. The ability to apply strategic thinking to large-scale market trends alongside industry, demographic, and geo-specific factors leads to innovative and effective solutions.”  With regards to Project Management, it is noted that “PwC’s ability to identify key workforce attributes for specific client organizations lends itself to a strong strategy capability coupled with road-mapping for effective implementation of plan design. This capability is particularly useful in the well-being space, creating and implementing plans that will be optimally utilized by client workforces.”
