Demand for consulting services in healthcare continues to rise

Dan Garrett

KLAS is a research and insights firm on a global mission to improve healthcare delivery by amplifying the provider's voice.  They have just published the findings of their new report on ‘Healthcare IT Advisory 2016: The Experience Factor.’

In the report, KLAS reports that the demand for consulting services is continuing to rise as healthcare IT systems get more complex, regulations increase, and interoperability becomes more imperative.  KLAS rates PwC as having the greatest breadth and depth of IT Advisory services.

The KLAS report states, “providers report that PwC’s highest level of impact comes from providing financial and clinical improvement through optimisation advisory work. Results from engagements with PwC include better readmission rates, a reduction in central line and associated bloodstream infections, process improvements, and cost savings. One provider described the level of PwC’s impact: “We have already saved money to the tune of more than double our fees, and that is more than we expected.”

Another client commented: “The people from PwC hit a home run. They were definitely above their peers in understanding the subject matter. PwC’s healthcare knowledge is exceptional.”

Dan Garrett, PwC’s health technology consulting leader, said: “It is fantastic that PwC has been recognised as having the greatest depth and breadth in IT Advisory Services. Helping clients achieve strong clinical and financial improvements and leading the way towards innovation and new IT-enabled business models is at the heart of our healthcare business.  It’s great to have received such high ratings from clients.”
