Firms offer optimization services to create more efficient workflows
In the report, KLAS states that ‘as healthcare organisations move beyond the initial implementation of key clinical and financial systems, their focus shifts to improving these systems and ensuring that they are driving outcomes and providing maximum value. The aim of firms offering optimization services is to help providers streamline processes, create more efficient workflows, tailor applications to meet providers’ needs, and help their clients achieve their clinical and financial goals.’
KLAS highlights that PwC is a top performer in having a significant and positive impact on providers' efficiency, clinical, and financial outcomes. KLAS notes, "PwC stands out for the quality and actionable nature of their recommendations, which lead to improved operational efficiency and increased cash flow."
They also found that PwC has the broadest financial experience of all of the 18 firms evaluated, noting that "PwC has a strong vendor-agnostic methodology for performance improvement, and clients say strong consultant knowledge of multiple systems leads to improved workflows and enhanced applications."
The KLAS report notes, “Clients say PwC’s approach is to assess financial processes and workflows to identify gaps and give guidance on implementing their recommended changes. Customers appreciate that the best practices ultimately lead to better outcomes. One client said, “Our workflow was positively impacted because we wouldn't have known the best way to go about things without PwC. We are kind of getting into new territory in a lot of different ways right now. PwC is helping us get through this new territory.”
Dan Garrett, PwC’s health technology consulting leader, said: “We are proud to be recognised as having a significant positive impact on efficiency, clinical and financial outcomes. PwC’s focus is to make sure that our clients report a positive impact and gain tangible results, each and every time they work with us.”
