Digital technologies are enabling business and HR leaders to realise the potential of their people

PwC rated as an ALM Intelligence Vanguard Leader for HR Technology Advisory Service

ALM Intelligence’s HR Technology Advisory Services report finds that digital technologies are empowering business and HR leaders to ‘move beyond focusing on HR function effectiveness’ and finally realise the opportunity to unlock ‘the human potential of the workforce.’

Chris Murray, PwC’s global HR technology leader, said: “With 95% of CEOs planning to make changes to how their organisations use technology, CIOs and HR leaders are embracing the digital revolution. The shift to the cloud in HR technology, combined with developments in social, mobile, analytics and robotics is, perhaps counter-intuitively, enabling organisations to focus on what really matters: realising the potential of their people.”

Organisations are looking to consultants to help them develop and deliver their strategy to make the most of these opportunities. This requires a broader range of capability than ever before: HR technology expertise is a given, but to maximise the benefits HR leaders also need access to expertise in data and analytics, regulatory compliance, talent management, mobility, organisational design, and change management.

The report rates PwC as a global ALM Intelligence Vanguard Leader for HR technology advisory services. It recognises that PwC places HR technology capabilities at the centre of its People and Organisation practice to demonstrate to clients the importance of viewing any implementation as part of a broader set of changes required to deliver success.

Liz DeVito, associate director and leader for human resource consulting research, ALM Intelligence, and author of the report, noted that PwC offers an established portfolio of advisory and managed services in HR technology and analytics that is clearly defined, structured and backed by internally developed tools and accelerators configured to multiple human capital management vendor solutions. She commented:

“PwC’s People and Organisation practice combines deep industry and business knowledge with technical skills to deliver HR technology services worldwide, working with clients on the end-to-end journey to create a more productive, agile organisation through technology. HR technology consultants are integrated into most other People and Organisation engagements in support of a go-to-market strategy that views technology as the centrepiece of a wider HR capability.

In-depth analysis that is part of developing an HR technology strategy… provides clients with a level of detail that not only informs the design of a realistic roadmap, but also conveys the true scope and business impact of the technology change. Change management informs every stage of the HR technology consulting process as embodied in PwC’s TRANSFORM ™ framework for delivering all aspects of a change initiative.”

Commenting on achieving the Vanguard rating, Chris Murray, said:

“We’re delighted to be recognised as being at the forefront of helping organisations continue their journey into the digital age through developing their business and HR strategies and deploying innovative HR technology and analytics to enable them.

The changes in HR technology are only gathering pace and sit at the heart of the future of work. HR leaders who recognise the cultural implications and the opportunities they present will be best placed to help their organisations outperform their peers. ”
